Travelers Inn, located on Johnson Ave in Elizabethton, Tennessee, presents a mixed picture that reflects both challenges and potential. With a modest rating of 2.9, this motel offers essential amenities such as free Wi-Fi, free parking, air conditioning, and a pool, alongside pet- and kid-friendly accommodations, making it a practical choice for budget-conscious travelers and families seeking basic comfort.
Guests appreciate Travelers Inn for its accessibility and proximity to local sightseeing and recreational activities, including a nearby golf course, which adds to its appeal for visitors eager to explore the area. Friendly staff interactions, as noted by some, contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
However, the establishment struggles with consistency in guest experience. Reports of room cleanliness issues, such as the presence of roaches and lingering smoke odors, detract significantly from the overall comfort. An unfortunate incident involving the motel owner also highlights serious concerns about customer service, underscoring the need for improvements in professionalism and care toward guests.
Despite these drawbacks, Travelers Inn holds an understated charm for those prioritizing location and affordability over luxury. The motel’s simple, no-frills approach serves a segment of travelers whose main focus is exploring Elizabethton rather than spending extensive time on the premises. With attention to cleanliness and guest relations, this brand could better fulfill its potential as a go-to budget lodging option.
In sum, Travelers Inn offers a foundational hospitality experience that is approachable yet flawed. It invites guests who value convenience and basic amenities but calls for vigilant management to enhance the overall quality and perception of the brand.

Worse experience with motel owner ever!!! After being fresh from a miscarriage me and my significant other stayed and I ended up getting some blood on a bath towel and a spot on the sheet. When we went to get deposit he threw them at me calling me a nasty pig and saying he was keeping deposit. meanwhile, the room did have sum roaches and smelled of smoke, but I said nothing of that. I was getting upset and he said either wash them myself and bring them back n i can get deposit. After buying Bleach, detergent, fabric softener and using laundry mat I was out over $25. Man said I didn't get it finished in timely manner and that was gonna be a issue and that I was not getting deposit. His daughter chimed in and said my God have you never used tampon or pad. Don't stay there. Most disrespectful people ever.
This place is awesome. Everyone was super friendly and nice. I will stay here again
